Oddly enough I'm starting to panic about reef supplements, Calcium and strontium, Iodide and trace elements.  Ordered a whole slew of them from Pet Warehouse.  Should arrive this week.  Also ordered a crap load of fish from my wish list: 2 bubble anemones, a yellow tang, a blue tang, a flame angel, a banggai cardinal, a maxima clam, 3 red crabs and 3 blue crabs.  Might be here tomorrow or Wednesday.

Got 3 Turbo snails from Pets & Aquarium on Wilshire.  They are huge and fast.

Picked up another rock at Apex.  This one has Christmas Tree Worm Fans attached to it.  Very, very cool although they apparently don't have a huge captive life span.

After sitting around poking and prodding the freaking Sebea anemone for 2 days I couldn't stand it anymore.  I bagged it in a ziplock and let it sit for 2 hours to see if it would give any sort of a reaction.  Nothing.  Nada.  Dead.  Looking into researching, I now realized that Clownfish and their Anemones are as simple as fish and tentacle thing.  Sebeas are apparently the most difficult to keep.  Ocellaris don't like sebeas.  The Sebea that I had was probably on its last leg anyways I should have been checking for feet that are attached to something, stickiness of tentacles and some sort of physical reaction when it was fist touched by the aquarist.

The damsel was hiding for the past 2 days and its dead and sitting on the bottom of the tank.  My first kill.

Now that I have the clown I have to get the anemone.  Saw a cool one at the LA Aquarium Store on Pico.  Its a Purple tipped Sebea.  The clown fish wants nothing to do with it.  It loves the hammer coral though.

Apex had a huge sale this weekend.  One of the guys mentioned last week that live rock was going to be going for $2.50/lb this weekend.  Little did I know that that meant there would be a sale with hundreds of people pushing and shoving in the store, a 40 minute wait at the register and no one willing to wait on you.  Anyways.  I picked up an anchor/hammer coral, a yellow tipped blue damsel and 2 ocellaris clown fish and 35lbs of live rock.

Tank has been running fine for a week.  Now comes the live and dead sand.  I'm getting 2 twenty pound bags of live sand, microbes and biopia included and 1 ten pound bag of larger grain sand.

Tank is scrubbed and ready.  I started toting 60 gallons of sea water from Apex to my tank.  It took 6 trips.  What a pain in the ass.  Needed to install another drain tube because the main pump was pumping faster than the tubes could return it.  Seems to be in some sort of equalibrium.
