1 : For the episodic television show Prison Break, we had a sequence in which the actors start running around in the mining tunnels under Chicago.
2 : There is this HUGE network of tunnels under the city traveling everywhere. It apparently had flooded year before. There was a layer of sludge everywhere.
3 : We needed permits to shoot down there. The had to consistantly check for air quality because it was so bad.
4 : Never been to Chicago before.

The environment was such that if you shut off the lights or ventured to far off the lit trail you could easily set the scene for a horror film. Scared the shit out of me.

Do to the layer of sludge you had to wear hip waders. The air had this metallic taste to it and the sludge was grey.

Had to take a photo of the street signs under the city. A) because its easy to get lost and you need to have a street map to know where you are and B) I had worked on a LaSalle bank spot several months prior to this shoot that was the bain of my existance.
