12/28/06 - So how can you put into words, a holiday, when spent sitting alone on your couch, amounts to nothing other than anticipation of going to sleep.

12/19/06 - Holiday tease. Company Holiday Parties.... So they are dreaded. Always seems to be the case. Here are people that you see 260 days out of the year so that 261'st day really isn't going to make the people that you think are dicks any less dickian or the people that are annoying any less annoyian... or for that matter the people that you like that much more likeable. Right? Wrong. Jack and Coke tends to bring out the best in people. At least that will be my interpretation of it from now on. Of course 2 days later, when the influence has worn off, those moments that had so much potential just tuen into awkward uncomfortable "sorry I gave you the wrong impressions" and "I think I might have been too drunk to remember what I was saying" topics. Hopes dashed. Pity spirals begin. And all around surly moods are created. I'm not one to take opportunites lightly cause frankly I don't get a lot and wow did this one hit hard. Whisky till you pass out and spend the night in front of a porcelain temple. Sad. My life is sad.

12/14/06 - So I had this very weird dream. My sister and I were fighting. Doing stupid stuff that brothers and sisters that soon escalates to someone getting hurt. Anyways I did something to her in the kitchen... purposely finished off all the milk or something along those lines. She reacted back by doing something larger until the two of us were in this huge full on war. I recall locking her in the basement of this house and some how leaping off a mountain and flying to the base, through trees and other obsticals, over a fence and landed in the car park only to find out that she had suborned my two coordinators Jak and Brian into messing with my car. Upon landing I grabbed each of them by their throats and began to strangle them to death. It was glorious. then I woke up. Weird part is my sister passed away very near to this date. Kinda creepy not to have thought of her for a while but on near the same day she died I get a wacked out dream.....

11/18/06 - TiVo Rip. So Wednesday night I got home at around 2:30 am went to bed and no sooner did I hit the pillow than there was a power outage for about 5 minutes. Didn't think anything of it, got up the next morning went to work, got out at 3:43am, and turned on the TV to tape some shows and low and behold my TiVo is rip. I'm devistated. 4 weeks of BSG and this entire weeks worth of TV GONE. I do not even have a clue what to do.

11/13/06 - Regret. I hate the word cause it so fits life.

Vacancy Wrap Party... which is funny cause there are still 4 days of shooting and then 5 months of post. Wrap parties blow. Outside of the plus1 curse, be it awkwardness or unconnectability they are like really bad high school dances. You spend months with people, bonding and what have you and again you hype up expectations and plans only to realize everyone is sharing this experience with the people they have been removed from. It's great for them they reconnect but then that just brings to light to all the disconnecttedness in your life. Add that to the fact that you think to yourself, in a social setting I'm going to finally get up the nerve to actually say what you feel to the people that you want to. Hell its outside the wokr place right. And then you realize its not your life. Nothing is going to go your way. And then you go home and curl up on the couch and do what you do best and hang with you imaginary fiend sthat one a week are there for cause no one else that you want to be there ever is so yeah.

Sitting here watching Brothers and Sisters and realizing that Justin who I want to be, a fucked up mess of a train wreck, who just wants the world to go away is right on the money.

10/27/06 - So I went to the Jamie Cullum concert at the Wiltern last night. So glad that I did. Its amazing to see him live. The execution of some of those tracks was such a delight to see. Its also amazing to see that he's from the same shire as the hobbits were from. He's got to be at least 4'. For being the last leg of the tour though you'd figure that they'd have the execution of the whole things down at this point but I have to say there were some oddly jumbled and disconnectedpoints to the whole thing. Overall though... good concert. Makes me want to go to more.

8/18/06 - Just got back from a 2 week stint in our Vancouver office of Zoic. Helped out on a pilot called Drive. Should be coming out in January. Stayed at the four seasons which was in walking distance from the office. I love walking to work. 10 minutes. Perfect timing. Its a shame LA is so vast.

7/24/06 - Just got back from the 2006 Comic-con. Bought a page from the Escapist drawn by Jason Alexander. I suppose my motives were suspect as he was playing up the cute starving artist angle. But I'm happy with the decision. Matt had a great time. He'd never been before and was a total convert. Dinner with Anthony's sister on Friday night. GIC panel and mixer on Saturday night. Was expecting to sit in on the Kevin Smith panel but he was a no show. BIG BUMMER!

7/13/06 - Glenn Gainor producer of Deuce Bigalow 2 has a new flick in the works called Vacancy. Sarah Jessica Parker and Luke Wilson in a snuff film. Directed by Nimród Antal. Talk about your awsome first names.

7/08/06 - First day of shooting for Standoff (previously known as Primary) An air traffic controller hijacks LAX. Good script. GS flying planes and shit.

6/17/06 - Johnny Pipe got married.

6/30/06 - Flying dad out for a 3 weeks of fun. We got a lot of things accomplished. Tore down the 2 gates around the house. Trimmed up the cactii on the roof and replaced the windows in the Garage.(didn't think we'd ever attempt that). He was a man possessed.

5/31/06 - The guys from Blair Witch Chronicles are doing a sci-fi slashr flick called Oblivion. Great concept hope I get to work on it.

5/26/06 - A friend of mine just started back at DD. He pitched my name to head up their episodic division. Ugggghhhhh TV.

5/23/06 - Had lunch with a old friend Alice Kaizerian. Good times.

4/19/06 - Doug Liman is doing an adaptation of one of my favorite books, Jumper. Neddless to say as soon as I found out I hit the pavement trying to find out everything I could about the production. We got an invite to do a test and we presented we'll see how it plays out.

3/28/06 - Flying Mom out. Of course, the shit is hitting the fan with the Primary shot. Reflecting back, I would have done things differently. Yeah. Oh, and watched a great episode of Gray's Anatomy in which a dying woman Laurie Metcalf came to terms with her deathand the fact that she was going to have to tell her 16 year old daughter she was going to have to live her life without her. Very heart wrenching. Perfect time to come out to my mother. Didn't go as well as planned. Mom proceeds to have a panic attack that night and then the silent treatment for 3 days. I should fly her out more often. Between the "What if anyone in the family should find out?" and the "If thats how you want to live your life" comment... good times.

3/26/06 - 20th Century Fox has a pilot in the works called Primary about hostage negotiators starring Ron Livingston. Anyways I'm VFXsupping the pilot. Simple shot we pull out from a Jaguar, through the back window of a Taurus - through the seats, over the steering wheel, through the front window, over the hood, to a Range Rover sitting in an intersection, through that then up behind a van on the other side of the intersection booming up to reveal an accident in the intersction and FBI surrounding the whole scene. Seemlessly. One take. Granted it won't be shot that way but we'll make it look that way in the end.

3/06/06 - Tropicana shoot in which we are doing things with Orange Juice you've never seen before. Except in a fruitopia commercial 10 years ago.

2/16/06 - Had a great meeting with the Director and producer of the low budget film Killer Pad. Bad thing was they didn't have any money. Good thing was that Robert Englend and watch him recreate a scene in the show in whitch a demon hooker humps the leg of a character. Priceless.

2/07/06 - In case anyone was wondering, the server that this site used to be on was hacked and almost everything has had to be recreated. So we are back. And having realized that I suck at html I'm revamping the guts and making everything frames based so I won't have to edit one million files ever freaking time something happens.
