Little NickyNovember 10, 2000Such blast to work on. John Sullivan (a veteran of several of John McTiernan films) was the Overall Visual Effects Supervisor for the project and with the help of Vision Art Design and Animation plus Rhythem & Hues, Pacific Ocean Post and Pixel Magic we were able to create all the Hell, Heaven and Earth shots for the film. This movie was great for me because it was one of the first opportunities I got to Digital Effects Supervise and entire facilities show.
Working with over 30 digital Artists and over 90 shots for the entire show, Vision Art was able to create some of the more memorable shots
for the film. From the Little Nicky/Adam Sandler apartment head spin shot to the Ozzy Osborne bat head bite, we did a wide range of effects
of both character animation to digital effects to just plain multi-element compositing. |

Dungeons & DragonsDecember 8, 2000Way back in those pre-adolescent days of wonder, I'm more than sure that most every ablebodied male in the US spent at least some time or other flipping through the Player's Handbook looking for some escapist adventuring before finding out about sex. Enter 18 year old Cortney Solomon, ten years ago, who optioned the concept for a live action adventure movie about the mythical world of Dungeons & Dragons. Now years later that option is paying off in a full length feature film starring Jeremy Irons, Thora Birch (of American Beauty fame), Marlon Wayans and Justin Whalin (of Jimmy Olson fame in Superman: The Adventures of Lois and Clark). There was a lot of detail for this show, which you can imagine whith a history as rich as this there would be. For example the capital city of Sumdall in which this movie takes place was huge. So vast in fact the orinial company hired to build it detailed it so much it was literally unrenderable. |
